TJ Ifaturoti is set to begin his fourth season on the GVSU coaching staff in 2026.
In 2025, Ifaturoti helped guide the Lakers to a GLIAC regular season and tournament championship. GVSU went 19-2-1 on the season and 13-1 in the GLIAC. Ifaturoti was on the GVSU staff that was named the GLIAC Coaching Staff of the Year. Three players earned All-American honors, while seven players earned Midwest All-Region honors which was the most by any team in the region. GVSU had three players earn major GLIAC awards and a league best 10 players earned All-GLIAC honors.
In his first two season on staff at GVSU, Ifaturoti helped lead the Lakers to back-to-back Midwest Regional Championships in 2023 and 2024. In the 2024 season, three Lakers earned United Soccer Coaches All-American honors and five players were named to the Midwest All-Region first team.
Ifaturoti played college soccer at Davenport from 2013-17. He was a member of the Davenport team that won the NAIA National Championship in 2014. During his four seasons at Davenport, Ifaturoti appeared in 94 matches making 53 starts. Ifaturoti ranks second in Davenport history with 53 goals, 23 assists, and 129 points. He ranks first in Panthers history with 94 game played and 19 career game-winning goals. Ifaturoti earned a degree in Business Administration from Davenport and currently holds a USSF "C" coaching license.
