Bay City, Mich. - Grand Valley State junior Megan Maceratini was named the GLIAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week on Tuesday (Oct. 6). Maceratini helped GVSU take home the team trophy at the Notre Dame Invitational in South Bend, Ind. last Friday (Oct. 2).

GVSU placed seven runners in the top-50, led by Maceratini, who placed second with a time of 17:40. The Lakers ran away from the competition scoring 48 points, while Dayton came in second with 104, followed by Calvin College (119), Eastern Michigan (160), and Notre Dame (217), which rounded out the top-five.

Grand Valley State will compete Friday (Oct. 9) at the Michigan Intercollegiate in Grand Rapids, Mich.
