Allendale, Mich. - The GVSU men's and women's cross country teams announced its 2010 schedule and will start its season off on Sept. 17 at the Michigan State Invitational in East Lansing, Mich. at 1:00 p.m. The Lakers will then travel to Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 2 to compete at the Great Louisville Classic.

The schedule continues with two meets on Oct. 16 at the Charger Invitational and the Penn State Invitational. Grand Valley State will then try to win its ninth straight men's GLIAC title and women's tenth consecutive GLIAC crown at the GLIAC Championships on Nov. 6 in Hillsdale, Mich.

The schedule concludes with the Midwest Regional Championships on Nov. 20, followed by the NCAA Championships on Dec. 4, both held in Louisville, Ky. The women placed second at the national race last year, while the men finished fifth.
