Grand Valley State women's cross country and track and field head coach Jerry Baltes announced the signing of 10 student-athletes for the 2007-08 season.
Megan Carter (Southfield, Mich./Christian), Hannah Cavicchio (Canton, Mich./Plymouth Salem), Sarah Gryniewicz (Grosse Pointe, Mich./North), Megan Maceratini (Livonia, Mich./Winston Churchill), Sara Parks (Grand Rapids, Mich./East Kentwood), Ariana Smith (Zeeland, Mich./East), Shaylee Vanderbaan (Granville, Mich./Jenison), and Rebecca Winchester (Wayland, Mich./Middleville) will all compete as distance runners for the Lakers.
Kelly Tousley (Frankfort, Mich.) and Kayla Valler (Marshall, Mich.) will both be sprinters for GVSU.
"We are very excited about our incoming class," said Baltes. "It is a very talented and deep class that we feel can help us continue to compete and and excel at a very high level."
"We feel the potential in this class is outstanding," added Baltes. "We feel there are a handful of individuals that can step in and contribute right away."
