Grand Valley State had eight Laker Cross Country athletes named to the NCAA DII Cross Country Coaches Association All Academic Team. Three men and five women earned the honors for excelling both in academics and athletics.

Senior Jeannette Seckinger recorded a 3.75 in Photography, senior Steph Sliwinski had a 3.68 in Education, and sophomore Kara Egan tallied a 3.61 in Biomedical Science. Senior Krista O'Dell complied a 3.60 GPA as a Physical Therapy major and sophomore Megan Doerr had a 3.43 in Criminal Justice.

Sophomore David Harvey tallied a 3.49 while majoring in Anthropology, sophomore Casey Abston has a 3.2 in Business, and sophomore Blake Terhune recorded a 3.28 GPA in Geography for the men.

Grand Valley's women's cross country team tallied a team GPA of 3.28, while the men had a 3.08.
