Grand Valley State's women's cross country team had five student-athletes earn United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic All-American honors. GVSU was also one of 85 Division II women's teams that earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honors.
Grand Valley State recorded a team GPA of 3.37 this fall. A team GPA of 3.0 and all of the participants in the regional meet had to comprise that GPA for a team to qualify for the honor.
Redshirt freshman Laura Aderman, junior Lauren Bader, redshirt freshman Kelly Gibbons, senior Mandi Zemba, and sophomore Karlie Singleton were all named USTFCCCA Academic All-Americans. To qualify to be an academic all-american, the student-athlete had to be in the top 30% of the participants at their regional meet and have a 3.25 GPA or higher.
