Feb. 6, 2007

Grand Valley State's women's cross country team had seven student-athletes earn United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Academic All-American honors. Laura Aderman, Lauren Bader, Kelly Gibbons, Sarah Jaquith, Stacey Kandas, Susie Rivard, and Ashley Wharton were seven out of 170 women named to the team.

To qualify for Division II All-Academic honors, student-athletes must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.25 (on 4.0 scale) and finish in the top 30 at the regional cross country championships. Fourteen All-Academic women's honorees had 4.0 GPAs.

Aderman, Bader, and Gibbons all earned the honor last year as well.
