Kenosha, Wisc. - Grand Valley State placed a pair of runners in the top 5 at the Great Lakes Regional in Kenosha, Wisc. as it captured its sixth consecutive Regional Title. Laura Aderman claimed the Individual Title with a time of 21:13.9 and was joined in the top five by Stacey Kandas who finished third with a time of 21:45.8. The Lakers will now travel to Pensacola, Fla. and race in the NCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, Nov. 18.
The Lakers placed three runners in the top 10, joining Aderman and Kandas was junior Susie Rivard who finished sixth in the region with a time of 22:19.9. Also placing for Grand Valley were junior Ashley Warton (16th, 22:45.3) and senior Lauren Bader (21st, 22:50.7).
GVSU captured the regional by a margin of 44 points over host Wisconsin-Parkside (47-91). Rounding out the top fiver were Findlay who placed third (136), Southern Indiana in fourth (139), and Indianapolis who finished fifth (192).
GVSU will now participate in the NCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday, November 18 in Pensacola, Fla. at the Fall Sports Fesitval hosted by West Florida.
