Final Results

Milford, Mich. - The GVSU women's cross country team took home the team trophy with a victory at the Michigan Intercollegiates Cross Country Championship in Milford, Mich. on Friday afternoon (Oct. 11). Grand Valley State recorded 22 points, finishing well ahead of Western Michigan (111), Eastern Michigan (115), and Calvin College (133).

The Lakers placed seven runners in the top-10, led by Megan Maceratini, who took home the individual 5K title with a time of 18:33. Rebecca Winchester came in third at 18:40 and Amy Kolin was fifth at 18:55.

Katherine McCarthy was sixth at 19:08, Eileen Creutz was seventh with a time of 19:09, Katie Alfredson finished eighth at 19:10, and Kelly Gibbons was 10th at 19:15.

GVSU had a team score of 1:34:26 and an average time of 18:53, more than a minute faster than second-place Western Michigan.
