Danielle Alexander has earned GVSU Student-Athlete of the Week honors after leading the #6 Laker Volleyball team through the GLIAC-GLVC Crossover Tournament. The weekend was a crucial point for teams looking to top the regional rankings and eventually claim one of the eight top seeds in the NCAA Tournament. Grand Valley faced off against #24 Indianapolis, #21 Northern Kentucky, and Bellarmine and emerged the victor all three times.

Alexander tallied 16 kills against #24 Indianapolis and 14 against #21 Northern Kentucky to help the the Lakers defeat two teams who were looking to replace the Lakers as the No. 1 team in the regional rankings. Danielle finished the week with 42 kills, a .439 hitting percentage, and 14 blocks.
