Grand Valley State advanced to the semifinals of the GLIAC Tournament after winning their first round match against Hillsdale, 3-1 (19-30, 30-23, 30-22, 30-28). The Lakers are now 25-6 overall. GVSU will play second-round action Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m.

Tracy Kirk led the way for the Lakers with 15 kills, 23 total attacks, a .565 attack percentage, and five total blocks. Nicole Bayle added 39 assists, a .438 hitting percentage, a team-high 14 digs, and seven assisted blocks. Megan Helsen tallied 12 digs, while Sabrina Bird added eight assisted blocks.
