Grand Valley State dropped its final regular season match, 3-0 (30-28, 30-23, 30-27) at Ferris State Friday. The Lakers fall to 23-6 overall and 15-3 in GLIAC action. GVSU had already clinched a berth in the GLIAC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal match on Wednesday, Nov. 9.

GVSU jumped out to an eaerly lead in the first game, but the Bulldogs battled back to win 30-28. Ferris State closed out the match with wins in games two and three, 30-23 and 30-27 respectively. The Lakers hit just .175 as a team in the match.

Junior middle blocker Meghan Moore tallied 13 kills, two digs, and one solo and four assisted blocks for the Lakers. Senior middle blocker Tracy Kirk added nine kills, two digs, and two assisted blocks, while junior outside hitter Megan Helsen posted nine kills, two aces, and 10 digs. Redshirt freshman setter Jamie Ashmore tallied 23 assists, while freshman Kelly Hogan added 19 assists and six digs.
