Grand Valley State had no problem winning its regular season home finale as they defeated Saginaw Valley State, 3-0 (30-16, 30-27, 30-15). The Lakers improve to 22-5 overall and 14-1 in GLIAC action.

Senior Sabrina Bird recorded 13 kills, 26 total attacks, and a .385 attack percentage, while the Lakers' other senior Nicole Bayle added 41 assists, three service aces, and nine digs. Lauren Hanson tallied 13 kills, 24 attacks, and a .471 attack percentage and freshman Molly Young had a team-high 14 digs.

GVSU recorded an outstanding .342 attack percentage, while holding Saginaw Valley to a .096 hitting percentage.

The Lakers will travel up north to conclude GLIAC play next weekend. GVSU will play at Northern Michigan on Nov. 7 at 7:00 p.m., Michigan Tech on Nov. 8 at 4:00 p.m., and Lake Superior State on Nov. 9 at 1:00 p.m.
