Grand Valley State dropped a 3-0 (30-12, 30-27, 30-28) decision at Northern Michigan on Saturday. The Lakers fell to 22-5 overall and 14-2 in the GLIAC, while the Wildcats improve to 12-10 and 9-5. Grand Valley will play at Lake Superior State on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1:00 p.m.

Northern Michigan came out strong, defeating the Lakers 30-12 in game one as GVSU hit -.226. NMU held on and won games two and three, 30-27, 30-28. The Lakers hit just .069 in the match and recorded nine service errors.

Junior middle blocker Meghan Moore was the lone Laker to record in double digits in kills with 10. She added two service aces and four assisted blocks as well. Senior outside hitter Tina Tromblay recorded five kills, three digs, and five assisted blocks.

Sophomore libero Alyson Riley posted a team-high 17 digs, while junior outside hitter Megan Helsen added 10.

The loss snapped the Lakers 12 match winning streak.
