Grand Valley State defeated Hillsdale College, 3-1 (28-30, 31-29, 30-19, 30-27), Friday. The Lakers are now 18-5 overall and 10-1 in the GLIAC. GVSU will travel to Wayne State Saturday for another GLIAC contest at 4:00 p.m.
Sabrina Bird tallied a team-high 15 kills and seven assisted blocks for the Lakers. Stephanie Maciasz added 10 kills, 35 total attacks, and four assisted blocks, while Nicole Bayle recorded 41 assists. Melissa Reneski had a team-high 17 digs and Molly Young added 16 digs. Katie Horvath recorded 12 digs, while Megan Helsen added 11.
