#10 Grand Valley State recorded an outstanding .409 team hitting percentage as they swept Findlay, 3-0 (30-26, 30-14, 31-29) in Findlay, Ohio on Friday night. The win marks the 11th straight and GVSU has swept eight out of it last 10 opponents. The Lakers improve to 16-2 overall and 6-0 in the GLIAC, while Findlay drops to 14-6 overall and 3-3 in conference play. GVSU remains the lone undefeated team in the GLIAC North Division.

Grand Valley State started off the match strong, hitting .382 in the first game to win, 30-26. The Lakers continued its dominance in the second game as they hit .515. Findlay hit just .051 and the Lakers won the game, 30-14. GVSU finished out the match with a 31-29 win in game three as they hit .349 as a team. The Lakers hit .409 as a team, while Findlay hit just .151.

Junior middle blocker Danielle Alexander led the Lakers with 13 kills and three assisted blocks, while hitting .550. Freshman outside hitter Leslie Curtis recorded 12 kills and junior outside hitter Lauren Reber added 10 kills, two assists, two aces, five digs, and two assisted blocks and hit .500. Senior middle blocker Erica Vandekopple posted eight kills and hit .467, while junior setter Jamie Ashmore had 39 assists, six kills, and five digs. Senior libero Allyson Riley tallied 15 digs, while redshirt freshman Janelle Beaudry added seven digs.
 

 

Grand Valley State will conclude its four match road stint at Ashland on Saturday, Sept. 29 at 2:00 p.m.
