Grand Valley dropped its first match of the season, falling 3-1 to Seattle Pacific in the Ferris State University Invitational. The Lakers fall to 1-1 overall.
Senior middle blocker Tracy Kirk led the Lakers with 15 kills and four assisted blocks. Senior outside hitter Tina Tromblay posted 13 kills, 11 digs, and a .323 hitting percentage. Junior outside hitter Megan Helsen had 10 kills, 19 digs, and three blocks.
