Prior to GVSU: Spent two years at Kellogg Community College under head coach John Knott...Was a first team all-american both her freshman and sophomore years...Named to all-conference first team, all-state first team and all-region first team following her sophomore season...Earned all-region player of the year honors as a sophomore...Named student athlete of the year...Helped team to a fourth place finish in 2003.
High School: Prepped at Theodore Roosevelt High School under head coach Collin Minor...Earned all-area, all-district, and all-region honors following her senior season...Named to the dream team and all-state honorable mention as a senior...Was named team MVP after senior year...Also played basketball for three years, two years of softball, and a year and a half of track...Took fourth place in the state in discus...Was a member of National Honor Society, Students Against Drunk Driving, and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
