Brett Sikora is in his second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Lakers. Sikora joined the GVSU staff in 2007 after spending one season as a volunteer assistant coach for Western Michigan.

Sikora also worked instructional volleyball camps at Michigan State where he was in charge of creating drills, teaching skills and motivating the campers. He coached The Netz, a team of 12-14 year olds and was in charge of developing, organizing, and conducting practices for 10 players. Sikora also coached Club HC for three years. He coached three different teams, which were made up of 13-17 year olds, and was in charge of developing, organizing, and conducting and evaluating practices.

Brett graduated from Western Michigan with a Bachelor's of Science in Education. He earned a major in elementary group minors and a minor in mathematics/science and physical education. While at WMU, Sikora was the captain of the men's club volleyball team.
