Trio of Lakers Named to All-America Teams

Aiken Earns Second Team Daktronics Honors, Lound Tabbed as AVCA Third Teamer

2010: Tabbed as an America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) First Team All-America selection, becoming just eighth Laker ever to earn First Team All-America honors and fifth player in GVSU history to tally multiple All-America awards...Named the Daktronics Midwest Region Player of the Year, as well as earning AVCA All-Midwest Region honors for the second straight season...Earned All-GLIAC First Team honors for the third year in a row, joining Laker alum Carly Miller as the only two players in GVSU history to be named First Team All-GLIAC three times...Leads GVSU in kills (380), hitting percentage (.344), total blocks (140), and block solos (26), while ranking second in block assists (114)...Sits in second place in the GLIAC in hitting percentage and total blocks (1.28) per set, while placing sixth in kills (3.41) and points (4.20) per set...Became GVSU's all-time leader in total blocks (525) and block assists (437), while ranking seventh in career kills (1,364) and total attacks (3,184), and eighth in hitting percentage (.317)...Recorded her 1,000th career kill against Central Missouri (Sept. 4)...Notched 10 or more kills in 20 matches, including a career-high 25 kills in a thrilling five-set win over Lewis (10/16)...Neared a triple-double against the Flyers (10/16) in the GLVC-GLIAC Crossover, totaling 25 kills, a .339 hitting percentage, a career-best 11 digs, and six block assists...Totaled 13 kills in 20 attacks without an error for a .650 hitting percentage in a 3-0 win over Northwood (11/5)...Produced a block in 32 of 33 matches, including a career-high 13 total blocks (career-high tying four solo blocks, nine assists) in Midwest Regional Championship match against Indianapolis (11/21)...Put together a double-double of 14 kills (and only one error for a .542 hitting percentage) and 11 total blocks (with career-high tying 10 block assists) in GLIAC Tournament semifinals against Northern Michigan (10/13)...Supplied 46 kills with a .314 hitting percentage and added 25 total blocks (five solo, 20 assists) in three matches of the Midwest Regional Tournament, being named to the All-Tournament Team...Along with 13 total blocks, Rapin put down 16 kills in Midwest Regional Championship match against Indianapolis (11/21)...Totaled 92 kills, a .343 hitting percentage, and 45 total blocks in six postseason matches in the GLIAC and Midwest Regional Tournament, with GVSU going 5-1 in those matches.

2009: Tabbed as AVCA Honorable Mention All-America selection after being named to the All-Midwest Region Team for the second straight season...Became 14th player in Laker history to be named to the All-GLIAC First Team twice in a career...Led GVSU in hitting percentage (.275), kills (327), solo blocks (22), and total blocks (115)...Ranked fifth in the GLIAC in total blocks and blocks per set (1.08), seventh in hitting percentage, and ninth in kills per set (3.08)...Enters senior season seventh in GVSU history in career block assists (323) and ninth in total blocks (385) and hitting percentage (.307)...Needs 176 kills to enter top-10 in Laker history in kills, as she has provided three straight years of at least 300 kills...Was one of just two players (along with Meghan Scanlon) to start in every match and play in every set the entire season...Recorded 19 matches of double-digit kills and had at least six kills in every match of the season...One of top middle blockers in school history, she tallied a block in all 29 matches...Totaled season-high 23 kills (and a .365 hitting percentage) at Michigan Tech (9/19)...Posted 20 kills and a .385 percentage to go with three solo blocks against Wayne State (9/12)...Nearly posted a double-double with 10 kills and season-high seven block assists in 3-0 sweep of Southwestern Oklahoma (8/29)...In consecutive 3-0 home wins over Lake Superior State and Saginaw Valley State on Sept. 25-26, she totaled 26 kills and just four errors, along with 12 total blocks...Added 17 kills (just one error), a .471 hitting percentage, and five block assists against Rockhurst (10/16).

2008: Named to All-Midwest Region Second Team, one year after winning Regional Freshman of the Year award...Earned All-GLIAC First Team laurels...Ranked second on team in kills (331), hitting percentage (.299), and total blocks (115), while leading Lakers with 21 solo blocks...Recorded at least three kills in all 37 matches and a block in 35 of 37 matches...Totaled double-digits in kills in 15 matches, including season-high 14 kills four times...Tallied a solo block in 15 different matches, including a career-high four block solos at Michigan Tech (11/7)...Secured season-best seven total blocks and added nine kills without an attack error in 3-0 win at Lake Superior State (9/27)...Hit .300 or better in 23 matches, .400 or better in 14 contests, and .500 or better four times...In one five-match stretch from Sept. 27 to Oct. 11, never hit below .450 in any match, including a .700 attack clip (seven kills in 10 attempts) at Tiffin (10/10) and a .667 mark (12 kills in 18 attempts) against Hillsdale (10/4), both matches without an attack error...Secured 14 kills and six total blocks in GLIAC Semifinal win over Wayne State (11/15)...Totaled team-best 14 kills and a match-high .440 hitting percentage, along with four block assists, against Concordia-St. Paul in NCAA Final Four (12/5)...Added 14 kills and six blocks, while hitting .433, in 3-0 win over Saginaw Valley State (10/31)...Began season with 14 kills in four-set win in season openeragainst Southern Indiana (8/29).
