Allendale, Mich. - Former Grand Valley State runner Danielle Fonseca will participate in the 2010 Canadian Track & Field Championships on Friday, July 30 in Toronto, Ont. Fonseca will run in the preliminaries of the 400-meter hurdles at 6:30 p.m., followed by the finals on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.

Fonseca competed for GVSU in the 2010 track and field season and was an indoor all-american in the 4x400-meter relay. She helped the relay team to a sixth place finish with a time of 3:49.28. Fonseca also claimed an outdoor all-american title for her eighth place finish in the 400-meter hurdles (1:00.37).
