Grand Valley State had 26 track and field student-athletes earn U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Academic All-American honors. Grand Valley's men's and women's teams also earned USTFCCCA All-Academic Team plaudits.

A team GPA of 3.0 was needed in order to qualify for the honor. Grand Valley compiled a 3.31 team GPA. The women's team complied a 3.210 and the men's team tallied a 3.020.

To qualify to be an academic all-american, the student-athlete had to have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better and record a provisional qualifying mark.

On the women's side, junior Morgan Acre, senior Pam Treppa, freshman Aleshia Taylor, freshman Dianna Noonan, junior Rachel Duthler, freshman Lauren Ball, junior Stacey Kandas, junior Stephanie Kandas, freshman Laura Aderman, sophomore Karlie Singleton, junior Lauren Bader, senior Mandi Zemba, sophomore Susie Rivard, and senior April Szatkowski were all named USTFCCCA Academic All-Americans. On the men's side, freshman Bryant Wilson, senior Josh Harris, junior Casey Fechter, junior Mike Stowe, junior Kevin Kimble, sophomore Garron Lucius, junior Ryan Holm, sophomore Grant Fall, redshirt freshman Chris Hammer, sophomore Robby Young, sophomore Nate Peck and sophomore John Collins all earned academic all-american honors.
