Des Moines, Iowa - Grand Valley State's Sam Lockhart competed at the 2010 U.S. Junior Outdoor Track & Field Championships on Thursday (June 24) in Des Moines, Iowa. The freshman placed 12th with a throw of 45'8.5" in the shot put.
Lockhart placed seventh at the 2010 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships earlier this year. She recorded a toss of 148'9", earning her first outdoor all-america honors.
