Krista O'Dell tallied a point for the Lakers as she finished eighth in the finals of the 3,000m run at the 2004 Outdoor Track & Field National Championships. O'Dell will compete in the finals of the 1,500m on Saturday.

Steph Kuhlmam tallied a time of 2:10.08 which qualified her for the finals in the 800m On Thursday, Kuhlman recorded a qualifying time in the 1,500m and will participate in the finals of both events on Saturday.

Natalie Ewing did not qualify for the finals in the 5,000m as she recorded a time of 18:04.29 in the prelims.

John Ybarra will also compete in the shot put on Saturday.
