Results

Grand Valley State's women's track and field team tallied one point and qualified three student-athletes for the finals in the first day of the NCAA Division II Track and Field National Championships in Abilene, Texas. Freshman Morgan Acre claimed the Lakers point as she finished eighth in the discus throw with a mark of 153'03".

Senior Krista O'Dell placed fourth with a time of 4:40.20 and sophomore Lauren Bader took 11th (4:41.47) in the prelims of the 1500 meter run. Both qualified for the finals on Saturday. Sophomore Jennifer O'Shesky posted a time of 60.76 in the prelims of the 400 meter hurdles, which also qualified her for the finals.

Junior Pam Treppa placed 15th in the long jump with a mark of 17-10.75. Junior Adrian Chouinard took 13th in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 38:55.43.
