Results

Grand Valley State men's team finished 18th and the women placed 16th at the 2005 NCAA Division II Indoor Track and Field National Championships. The Laker men tallied 11 points, while the women finished with 11.50.

On the men's side, the distance medley relay team placed fifth with a time of 10:00.54. John Ybarra took seventh place in the shot put (54-9.25), while Nick Natale finished in 10th with a throw of 53-6.25. Don Wilkins placed fifth (14:19.54) in the 5,000 meter run while, Ryan Cole finished in 15th place, running a 14:36.26. Kirk Manchip took 13th place in the long jump, recording a mark of 21-11.00.

For the women, the distance medley relay team placed third with a time of 11:38.62. Jennifer O'Shesky finished in eighth place in the long jump (18-08.00). Katie Corner took eighth place in the shot put (45-03.50) and Morgan Acre placed 12th in the weight throw (52-11.50). Krista O'Dell ran the mile in a time of 4:54.79 for seventh place and Mandi Zemba took ninth place in a time of 4:55.97. O'Dell also placed ninth in a time of 17:13.34 in the 5,000 meter run and Karlie Singleton finished 14th (17:33.87).
