Grand Valley State's women's indoor track and field team is in 15th place with three points after the first day of the 2006 NCAA Division II Indoor Championships held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston, Mass. The championships will finish on Saturday, March 11.

GVSU's distance medley relay team of junior Lauren Bader, junior Liz Shinn, sophomore Suzie Rivard, and junior Karlie Singleton took sixth place, scoring three points with a time of 11:48.83.

Junior Mandi Zemba qualified for the finals of the mile run as she finished first in a prelim time of 4:54.27.
