Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State won six events at the Mike Lints Laker Challenge on Friday in the GVSU Fieldhouse Arena and Leanna Lowe hit the provisional mark for the NCAA National meet. Lowe jumped 5'5.25" to win the high jump. Katie Willis barely missed a qualifying time as she won the 55 dash in 7.27 only four hundreths of a second away from the mark. Jess Lemson and Jennifer Verkerke finished first and second respectively in the 800, while Alex Baker won the 55 hurdles. Erin Miller and Pam Treppa took the top two spots in the long jump with distances of 17'9 and 17'3.25, respectively. Becky Meyers was the Lakers final winner with a distance of 54'10.5" in the weight throw.
