The Grand Valley State women's track & field team turned in some outstanding performances at Michigan and Saginaw Valley State over the past weekend in unscored meets. At Michigan, Krista O'Dell notched an NCAA provisional time of 4:58.55 in the mile with a fifth place finish, while Ashley Thomas was fifth in the 400 (58.02). Natalie Ewing was sixth in the 3000 (10:21.42) and Rachel Duthler was sixth in the pole vault (11-6.75). At Saginaw Valley Staste, Kim Richmond tallied a fifth place finish (1:02.34) in the 400, while Nikki Peck was second (11-0) and Jennifer Olgerirsson third (11-0) in the pole vault.
The Lakers will travel to Kent, Ohio for the Kent State Invite on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 11:00 a.m.
