Track and Field Prepares for GVSU Laker Early Bird
First indoor meet of the season will see the distance runners highlighted
2011 Track: Had five top five finishes during the indoor season...Had a pair of top three finishes in the SVSU vs GVSU Dual Meet, finishing third in the weight throw (15.51 meters) and second in the shot put (11.68 meters)...Finished fifth in the weight throw with a toss of 15.27 meters at the GVSU Holiday Open...During the outdoor season, she finished in sixth in the hammer throw with a toss of 50.63 meters at the Purdue Dave Rankin Invitational...Finished sixth in the hammer at the ISU Pacesetter Invitational with a toss of 49.25 meters...Finished eighth at the GLIAC Outdoor Championships with a throw of 50.83 meters in the hammer...Had a personal best toss of 55.86 meters in the hammer at the Aquinas Twilight Invitational...Placed 14th at the Division II Outdoor Championships in the hammer with a throw of 50.76 meters.
2010 Track: Finished third in the weight throw at the GVSU Laker Early Bird with a toss of 12.93 meters...Had a season best throw of 15.19 meters at the Grand Rapids Championships to finish in ninth place...Placed 14th at the GLIAC Indoor Championships with a weight throw of 14.90 meters...During the outdoor season, she set a personal best in the javelin with a throw of 22.84 meters at the Aquinas Open to finish 10th...Finished fourth in the hammer throw at the Grand Rapids Open with a distance of 42.93 meters...Placed third in the hammer with a toss of 48.18 meters at the Aquinas Open.
