Tony Bonacci is joining the GVSU coaching staff this year after serving as Eastern Michigan University's pole vaulting coach since 1995. Tony has coached two NCAA Division I qualifiers, one All-American vaulter in the 2001 Indoor NCAA, four Conference Champions, 11 Conference Place winners and a National Record holder.
While competing for the Huron's, now the Eagles, Bonacci was a two-time MAC Champion in the pole vault and his personal best mark of 16'11'' still stands as the fourth best jump in EMU history.
Tony also owns his own embroidery company in Allendale, where he resides with his wife, Sara.
