Fall tennis regional rankings have been released and Grand Valley State's women's tennis team is ranked #4 in the region. Northwood is ranked #1, Ferris State is #2, and Indianapolis is ranked #3. The Lakers finished the fall season with a 10-4 overall and a 7-2 GLIAC record.

Senior Alison Koopsen was ranked #5 in the region in singles action. She finished 12-4 in singles play this fall. It is the highest ever ranking for a GVSU women's tennis player. Koopsen and sophomore Emily Zellner were ranked #4 in the region in doubles action as they finished 10-5 on the season. Thier #4 ranking is the highest doubles ranking ever for a GVSU women's doubles team.

The Lakers will resume play for the spring season against Albion College on Feb. 26 at 10:00 a.m.
