Skillman, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) released it division II preseason poll on Tuesday (Nov. 10) and the Grand Valley State women's tennis team is ranked as the #15 team in the nation. This is the highest ranking the women's program has ever received and the Laker women were also ranked the top team in the Midwest Region.

In the individual rankings, GVSU's Chelsea Johnston and Darylann Trout are ranked as the #2 doubles team in the Midwest Region and #12 nationally. Also ranked in the Midwest Region doubles is the duo of Alyssa Lucas and Katelyn Schaffer who are #5. In the individual singles rankings, Tara Hayes is ranked #12 in the Midwest Region.
