Junior Darylann Trout was named the GLIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week this week as she went 6-0 over the weekend. She went 3-0 in both singles and doubles leading the Lakers to a 3-0 record on the road trip.

Trout teamed up with Chelsea Johnston at #1 doubles to win a critical match against Ashland, 9-7. Playing at #3 and #4 singles over the weekend she only lost a combined 6 games in her 3 matches. She won at #4 singles against Saginaw 6-1, 6-2 and at #3 singles against Ashland 6-2, 6-1. Trout also cruised at #3 singles against Tiffin 6-0, 6-0. Darylann has posted regular season conference records of 9-1 in singles and 8-2 in #1 doubles.

Trout and the rest of the #27 Laker tennis team, who have posted an overall record of 8-2 and a GLIAC record of 7-2, will next be in action in the GLIAC Tournament next weekend.
