Freshman Lindsay Grimmer was named GLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week as she earned a 7-5, 6-1 win at #2 singles as the Lakers defeated Saginaw Valley State, 7-2. Grimmer teamed up with Jaime Oppenlander to win 8-5 in the #2 doubles slot. Lindsay is 7-4 in singles action and 4-6 in doubles matches this season in GLIAC play.

The Lakers are 9-2 overall and finished the GLIAC with a 7-2 record. GVSU is the #3 seed in the GLIAC Tournament and will play #6 seed Wayne State in the first round on Friday, Oct. 21.
