Grand Valley State's women's tennis team earned Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic honors for their success in the classroom. The Lakers were one of 28 teams in Division II who, as a team, complied a 3.2 GPA or better.

In addition, Stephanie Donston, Nikki Fairchild, Kellen Lynch, and Pete Schwallier, from the men's team, were named ITA Scholar Athletes. In order to achieve this honor, the girls have to be of junior status and have a 3.5 GPA or better.
