SKILLMAN, N.J. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced that Grand Valley State's Audrey Koopsen has been named the Midwest Region Senior Player of the Year. Koopsen also earned Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) Player of the Year honors earlier this season.

Koopsen posted an 13-10 overall record at singles this season, including an 11-9 mark in dual play (all at No. 1 singles). She was also 6-3 in GLIAC play. In doubles competition, she split time with Jaime Oppenlander and Maria Gassanova. She posted a 13-2 record with Gassanova and a 5-3 mark with Oppenlander. She was 6-3 in GLIAC competition, including a 4-1 mark while paired with Gassanova. She was also named the 2007-08 ITA Great Lakes Region Player to Watch.
