GVSU wrapped up the GLIAC Tournament with a 5-1 loss in the Championship Match to Northwood University. The loss is only the Lakers' second on the year, as they dropped a 6-3 decision, also to Northwood, on Sept. 26. The Lakers finish their fall season with an impressive 10-2 record and a second place finish in the GLIAC.

Grand Valley State was only able to pick up one win over the Timberwolves, and that came in the No. 3 doubles slot. Jenna Killips and Jaime Oppenlander earned a hard-fought 9-8 (8-0) victory over Cristina Oliveira and Nicole Kromer. Lindsay Grimmer and Emily Zellner recorded an 8-2 loss in No. 1 doubles, and Audrey Koopsen and McCall Monte fell, 8-3, in the No. 2 doubles slot.

It took Northwood three singles matches to knock off the Lakers. Desiree Roset of Northwood defeated Jenna Killips by a 6-1, 6-1 count. Emily Zellner fell in the No. 4 singles slot to Julia Goncalves, 6-4, 6-1. Freshman Whitney Bindus recorded just her second loss of the season, falling to Nicole Kromer, 6-3, 6-2. Bindus finished with a 10-2 record on the year.
