Marie Cameron won 7-5, 6-2 in the #1 singles slot for the Lakers.

Grand Valley State defeated Lake Superior State, 7-0 in the second round of the GLIAC Tennis Championships. The Lakers will play Saginaw Valley State on Saturday.

Marie Cameron won, 7-5, 6-2, at #1 singles, Nikki Fairchild picked up a 6-4, 6-2 win at #2 singles, while Alison Koopsen won 6-2, 6-0, at #3 singles. Laura Sukup rounded out the scoring in the singles matches by winning, 6-3, 7-6 at #5 singles.

Cameron and Sukup won, 8-6, at #1 doubles, Fairchild and Koopsen teammed up for an 8-4 win at #2 doubles, and Kim VanSprange and Natalie Pallet won 8-6 at #3 doubles.
