Grand Valley State defeated Lake Superior State, 6-2, in the first round of the GLIAC Tournament. The Lakers will play Ferris State at 2:00 p.m.
Marie Cameron picked up a 6-2, 1-6, 6-2 win at #1 singles, while Alison Koopsen won at #2 singles, 6-7 (5-3, 7-5, 6-0. Jenna Killips won 6-3, 6-4 at #4 singles and Emily Zellner posted a 6-3, 2-6, 6-4 win at #5 singles.
Koopsen and Zellner teammed up for an 8-5 win at #1 doubles and Cameron and Arcelia Gomez won 8-3 at #2 doubles.
