Big Rapids, Mich. - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team dropped a 5-4 GLIAC decision to West Michigan rival Ferris State on Friday (Oct. 9) afternoon inside the FSU Racquet and Fitness Center in Big Rapids, Mich. GVSU falls to 5-2 overall and 4-2 in GLIAC action.
Ferris State took an early 2-1 lead with a pair of wins in the doubles action and then split the six singles matches with the Lakers to claim the win. Four singles matches went to a third set, with Ferris State claiming wins in three of those flights. The Laker loss snapped a five-match GVSU winning streak in the all-time series over the Bulldogs.
