Grand Valley State fell at Northwood, 8-1, on Tuesday. The Lakers are now 4-3 overall and 4-3 in GLIAC action. GVSU will travel to Mercyhurst on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and play both Slippery Rock (9:00 a.m.) and Ashland (3:00 p.m.) on Saturday.

Nikki Fairchild picked up the Lakers lone win at #2 singles after the match was retired with a 4-0 score. Marie Cameron fell, 6-0, 6-0, at #1 singles, Alison Koopsen dropped her match, 6-0, 6-1, at #3 singles, and Kim VanSprange lost, 6-1, 6-0 at #4 singles. Zanobia Syed and Natalie Pallett both fell at #5 and #6 singles.

The Timberwolves swept the Lakers in doubles action. Northwood is now 7-0 in the GLIAC.
