Grand Valley State improved to 6-1 overall and in GLIAC action as they swept Ashland University, 9-0 Saturday morning. The Lakers will play at Tiffin University in a non-conference match Saturday at 3:30 p.m.

Senior Alison Koopsen and sophomore Emily Zellner shutout their opponents, 8-0 at #1 doubles and freshman Jaime Oppenlander and freshman Lindsay Grimmer won 8-5 in the #2 doubles slot. Sophomore Jenna Killips and freshman Audrey Koopsen won by forfeit at #3 doubles.

Alison Koopsen won her match at #1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, while Grimmer beat her opponent, 6-0, 6-1. Killips picked up a 6-0, 6-1 victory at #3 singles and Zellner tallied a 6-0, 6-2 win at #4 singles. Audrey Koopsen won, 6-0, 6-1 in the #5 singles slot and Oppenlander won by forfeit at #6 singles.
