Alison Koopsen won both at #3 singles and #2 doubles for the Lakers.

Grand Valley State fell in a close match, 5-4, to Michigan Tech Saturday. The Lakers are now 4-2 overall and in the GLIAC.

Marie Cameron fell, 4-6, 3-6, at #1 singles and Nikki Fairchild was defeated 6-4, 2-6, 2-6 at #2 singles. Alison Koopsen won, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 at #3 singles. Kim VanSprange fell at #4 singles, 7-5, 6-1, while Zanobia Syed picked up a big win at #5 singles, 6-4, 6-3. Natalie Pallat won, 6-2, 6-2 at #6 singles to split the singles matches evenly.

However, Michigan Tech won, 8-6 at #1 doubles and 8-3 at #3 doubles to seal the victory. Alison Koopsen and Marie Cameron teammed up at #2 doubles and won 8-6.

The Lakers won't play again until Oct. 7 when they travel to Northwood for a 2:00 p.m. match.
