Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State defeated Saginaw Valley State 8-1 on Friday afternoon at the GVSU tennis courts. The Lakers won the top five singles matches and all the doubles matches. The Lakers improve to 6-2 with all of their matches coming against GLIAC opponents.

Marie Cameron and Kellen Lynch remained perfect on the season at #2 doubles with an 8-6 victory. Nikki Fairchild and Laura Sukup were 8-2 winners at #1 doubles while Kim VanSprange and Alison Koopsen won 8-5 in the #3 spot. Cameron, Fairchild, Koopsen, Lynch, and Stephanie Donston all won their singles matchups without dropping a set.

The Lakers will host Northwood on Tuesday, October 1, at 3:30 pm on the GVSU Tennis Courts.
