Grand Valley State's women's tennis team improves to 4-1 on the season as they defeated Lake Superior State, 6-2 Friday. GVSU will host Michigan Tech on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Marie Cameron defeated her opponent, 6-4, 6-4, at #1 singles. Nikki Fairchild won 6-0, 6-1 at #2 singles and Alison Koopsen picked up a 6-3, 6-1 win at #3 singles. GVSU fell at #4 and #5 singles, and Natalie Pallet's match at #6 singles was halted due to rain.

The Lakers had no problem in doubles action as they easily won all three doubles contests. GVSU is 4-1 overall and in the GLIAC.
