Alison Koopsen recorded the Lakers best finish at the ITA NCAA DII Women's Tennis Great Lakes Regional Tournament as she advanced to the quarterfinal round. She won three matches before falling, 6-1, 6-4, to the #3 seed Kristina Bogdanovic from Northwood.

In doubles action, Laura Sukup and Nikki Fairchild teammed up, advancing to the quarterfinal round. They had no problem with their first match, as they won 8-0, followed by a 9-7 win in second round action. The girls ended the tournament by falling, 8-6, in a close match.

The Lakers will return home and host Lake Superior on Friday at 3 p.m. and Michigan Tech on Saturday at 10 a.m.
