Allendale, Mich. - Grand Valley State earned a key GLIAC victory at Michigan Tech, 6-3, on Saturday (Sept. 21). Kellen Lynch and Kim VanSprange won both their singles and doubles matches to lead the Lakers. GVSU improves to 4-1 on the season with all of their matches against GLIAC foes.
Lynch and VanSprange both won in two sets at #4 and #6 respectively. Lynch then teamed up with Marie Cameron for an 8-4 win at #2 doubles, while VanSprange and Alison Koopsen earned an 8-4 win at #3 doubles. Nikki Fairchild won 6-0, 6-1 at #2 singles and Stephanie Donston picked up a 6-3, 6-3 win at #5 singles to finish the GVSU scoring.
The Lakers will play at Northern Michigan on Sunday (Sept. 22) to finish their road trip through the U.P.
