Detroit, Mich. - Grand Valley State improved to 2-1 in GLIAC play with an impressive 6-3 GLIAC win at Wayne State Friday (Sept. 13). Grand Valley State will be at Findlay Saturday (Sept. 14) for their fourth straight road match of the week.

Nikki Fairchild won a tough three-set match (7-5, 6-7, 6-0) at number two singles to set the tone for the Lakers. Alison Koopsen (3), Stephanie Donston (5), and Laura Sukup (6) all claimed two-set wins in singles action. GVSU also won at number two and three doubles.
