NORTH CANTON, Ohio - The Grand Valley State women's tennis team won its second match in as many days on Saturday (Sept. 7) by taking down Walsh, 7-2. The Lakers swept the three doubles matches and won four singles matches to earn the victory.
GVSU has now won all six doubles matches it has played in the fall season, following the sweep of Malone on Friday. Leah Dancz and Kali Phillips combined to win at #1 doubles, 8-6. The highest singles matchup that the Lakers won was at #2 singles, where Lexi Rice was victorious by scores of 6-2 and 6-0.
The Lakers' next match is back in Allendale on Friday (Sept. 13) against Findlay at 3 p.m., scheduled to take place on the GVSU Tennis Courts.
